Repair is in our Roots
The story of Spicer Greene begins in Asheville in 1926 with E.O. Wick's jewelry repair shop, Pick Wick Jewelers. By 1942, demand for Wick's services had grown enough to take on a young apprentice named Paul Greene.
After a decade of mastering his skills, Paul became a full partner, and in 1953 Pick Wick Jewelers became Wick & Greene Jewelers. Wick & Greene became a family business as Paul's son Michael learned the trade and passed his passion for jewelry onto his Daughter Eva-Michelle. In 2016 Eva-Michelle and her husband Elliott Spicer took ownership of the business, and Spicer Greene Jewelers was born.
Now, a century after Mr. Wick opened his shop, Spicer Greene Jewelers continues to provide excellent jewelry repair services in Asheville, and to foster growing talent in our workshop.

However, certain repairs such as pearl or bead restringing are best done by one of our trusted partners outside our store. Additionally, we may work directly with the original manufacturer of designer jewelry to ensure that we maintain the integrity and warranty of your piece.

Due to the variations in jewelry repairs, we cannot quote your repair without seeing your piece. However, our team will provide you with a price for your repair before beginning any work.
Our shop typically operates in a standard 3-week turnaround time. If you need a repair done more quickly, we can often expedite your job for a fee.
Our turnaround times can also vary around holidays. Please ask in-store if you have an important occasion approaching.No, because our store does not sell lab-grown or synthetic diamonds, our shop is unable to provide any service on jewelry that includes them. This applies even when the work is limited to the metal components of a piece of jewelry.
